My hubcentric 15mm spacers fit perfectly onto the FL vRS and combined with a 20mm Eibach drop give the look I'm after.

I can see why you would think that-I thought the same at the time. The problem is the back of the Zenith wheel is chamfered slightly at the hub, meaning they just don't rest on it. As stated at the start of this thread, I started with 9mm universal ones!

In that case I don't see how the small extension on the hubcentric spacers will make any difference!

Well I only started this thread because I was having problems with non-hubcentric spacers..... :wonder:

I no longer have any on the car as my new wheels are 18x8J B)

Let us know how you get on... :D

Nah! don't think I'll bother......

Has anyone actually got 10mm spacers fitted on the rear then folks

Only ever run 15mm dainott - they do markedly improve the look though if you're going to leave it at standard ride height. 10mm should make a reasonable difference too though, but at standard right height I'd go 10mm at the front ant 15mm at the rear for best results.

Now something I've learned today - H&R make 8mm hubcentric spacers WITH a lip. H&R part number 162555719. Happy days indeed.

Oooo do they that sounds about right with the 30mm drop I have as the car has to be useable.

Look how thin the lip is on the 8mms :D

If they're TUV approved they should be OK?

I'm ordering some tomorrow. I've noticed on some pics of second hand 8mm ones the lips are damaged.

On the wish list.

I have ordered a couple of sets of the aforementioned H&R 8mm hubcentric spacers WITH a lip. The 162555719 ones with a 150mm diameter. £125 inc VAT and delievery for two pairs - special order from H&R in Germany. Took a bit of getting hold of actually. If I don't end up using the second set I'll sell them unused at cost (£62.50). PM me if you might be interested.

PM sent.

Thinking if the rears need to be out more than 8mm then will be suitable for the front. By the sound of it 15mm suits most but i just have to make sure that there is no rubbing when towing etc and mine is dropped on Eibach pro springs.

does anyone know if the hub lip on the fl octavia rs is no more than 12mm?

i'm looking at putting 12mm hubcentric spacers on the rears. they however state "Please make sure your hub lip does not protrude more than 12mm on your wheels."

can anyone help, or provide some info?

ok.....another question. with a 12mm spacer, does the fl octavia vrs need:-

1. cone seated extended bolts

or

2. radius seated extended bolts

My Scout is radius seat, both for the original fit wheels and the Audi winters currently in use.

cant you get adapter kits used to make after market alloys fit multi cars that would fill the angled part at the back of the alloy. I remeber when i removed the alloys from my boss' tranporter for his winter wheels there was a plastic spacer part that looked like it would fit in that angled bit on the alloy that squared it up.

oh goodie - so i can safely say mine is radius (ball) type then.

which is good, cause the kit i'm looking at getting comes with radius type extended bolts.

I also found that when I put 15mm spacers on mine that the locking bolts weren't long enough as well, so you might need to get some longer locking bolts.

I've got a pair of 15mm spacers spare that I removed after about 500 miles. No issues other than a near side rear tyre rub when loaded which was found to be a protruding weld. Shame as it looked ace with the wider stance.

hopefully with 12mm spacers, i won't have any issues with locking nuts or rubbing.
