My dear springs confuse me.... left, right ??.. dunno..

Mattias, any idea what language we are talking about here. I cant seem to find any left/right combination based on those.

thi germanz :p

It ain't Deutsch - that would be links und rechts! It does sound kind of dutch though... with the aaa sound?

Mattijs, where are you when you are needed?

Left and Right are Links and Rechts in Dutch...

maybe it's HA = hinten axel?

And vorn axel... could be...

Quite correct, its the front and rear axle. Change your link above so it ends in EN rather than DE and it becomes a little clearer. What gave me the clue was that the damping (or part of it) is only adjustable off the car on one of them. Sounds awfully like the rear Konis I had on mine that you had top adjust off the car.

As they are in German :D

And for the correct spelling: it's Hinterachse and Vorderachse.

Turbo^2!

Be sure to get front springs for the right front axle weight wich is >1000kg. Wich springs did you go for and have you fitted them yet?

Christian, where did you get the figure of > 1000 kg from, which I assume is for the vRS?

I ask because my 4X4, which has a maximum front axle weight of 1000 kg, is fitted with the following options:

G34 Heavy duty suspension: front: 4X4 KOMBI

L50 Front axle weight class- weight range G34:686-735 kg.

G34 and L50 enable a dealer to identify the correct springs listed in ETKA.

Perhaps someone who is knowledgeable about suspension matters could explain the significance of the 686-735 kg weight range in relation to a car with a 1000 kg max front axle weight? Is it that each front spring must be able to cope with a weight of up to 735 kg, since if the car 'bottoms' after going over a humpback bridge, for instance, the effective weight on the suspension is increased when it hits the ground?

(My apologies to those who have seen those figures already). :)

I'v got the 50 mm lowering springs from H&R.

29768-1

The plan is to mount them on friday.

I hope everything goes well.

Next weekend i'm going to paint the bumper stripes and all the milotec stuff..

and on the 9th of july i'm getting new (org) front discs and red dot comp pads and motul rbf 600 brake fluid mounted.

finally getting my thumb out of my a$$. :ignore:

Be sure to tell us how it went! Thinking of changing to the same springs as you but I have heard the front stabiliser might be a problem when lowering to much.

/ Christian

Ps. Aren't you getting rediculously drunk on "midsommar" as all swedes? ;) Maybe that helps fitting the springs :D
