Obviously ;)

Nightmare doing motorway journeys at the moment, still frozen an hour later, screen filthy

Could it be just the nozzles freezing up? I know mine do, despite the fluid being fine - so much for being heated.

Nozzles will be frozen, mine is doing it too. Bit of de-icer onto the nozzles before you set off should clear them. Wipe excess off the paintwork obviously.

I'll give it a go. Is the bottle heated? On my last 2007 m sport bmw as soon as you started the engine the screenwash worked whatever the temp outside

The bottle itself isn't heated, well, only by the engine heat. Be sure you get some very strong screenwash in there too.

my bottle has been frozen four days only started working this afternoon when parked in sun for a couple of hours its now got neat screenwash in protects down to -36 by bluecol seriously thought my motor had gone tits up thank god it had'nt looks like a pig to get to

My rear squirt has stopped working randomly, what do you think it is?

It seems to use water sooo quickly too.

The pipe to the rear jet may have popped off. If your screenwash is too weak and it freezes in the pipe, it can disconnect the rear washer. Remove the tailgate trim to get to the joint. You may find it's been merrily pumping screenwash into your bootlid for a while. OR the nozzle is frozen.

Golfs have the same problem, but VW put the joint right above the roof lining, resulting in a huge permanent stain on the roof.

My bottle froze the other day while driving but thankfully defrosted after a few hours so I emptied it today and filled it with about 3/4 concentrated screenwash then the rest water so it shouldn't freeze again, think I'll stock up on some 10amp fuses just in case it does and blows the fuse !

Cheers for the help mate.

Any solutions??

Live somewhere where it is always warm. LOL

Both in the tailgate and front engine bay rear washer-pipe connections always prone to pop-apart in very cold weather.emoticon-0105-wink.gif
