Cat Back? / Decat? / Sport Cat?

as i said thanks everyone for your replys. I feel at this point giving the pros and cons. I will just stick with a miltek catback. In my original post I did say I wasnt intrested in a decat and I think this further approves my thoughts. Am not a car mechanic and I never will claim to be, and I know that emission structures are diffrent from petrol for diesel. As far as I am aware a CAT is there to reduce emissons, and I know that MOT tests currently only measure for smoke (my friend works as a mechanic) and even he varified this. However with a goverment being pushed dramatically into eco this and eco that, I can see the near future having a less tolerable approach to a decated deisel, regardless of what is true and not. Plus most people also seem to comment on the lack of noticable improvment over ether sport cat or decat. For that reason I cant really justify the extra cost.

So thank you all for your in put espically wja69 that made for some intresting reading

Catback it is

I just reread the document, the bits your talking about are only for cars "first used on or after july 2008". So thats not going to affect use fabia 1 owners.

Matt

I think that's EU V (DPF), there are also requirements to meet EU III (ASZ vRS's) and EU IV (BLT vRS's) as well.
