Anti-Noise-Kit

Featured Replies

Hi!

There is a rumor on another Skoda forum that the Superb and Yeti will have a better sound insulation from 1/1-11 and onwards, does anybody here have any information about it? The source even has a name for it. The source continues: Yeti and Superb will be equipped with something called anti-noise kits. We (a salesman...) have not been told how much difference in the DB, this package will do.

I'll have a word about it with my dealer but perhaps anyone here knows? I tried to search for it with no success...

Or have they just fixed that sound upgrade?

I'm waiting for my dealer to confirm the current build week for my superb, when he does, I'll quiz him on this as it's likely to be built in 2011

Oh, by the way, my car is waiting in a German harbor for the moment...

I got my superb 3 weeks ago.

The Superb is better soundproofed than my last car, which was a Volvo S40 MY2008.

So it must be some kind of anti rattling package for the Sound System owners, as i can confirm that issue.

Sounds promising!!!

Do you think they will retrofit our cars equipped with the sound system? The rattle drives me quite crazy.... (got mine 2 weeks ago)

I have done an inquery to the Skoda Sweden and i am a determined Dane, so i will not give up so easily on my demands.

I have heard that many German skoda dealers know about these issues also, and is retrofitting extra dampening materials before delivery.

I have almost no complaints about noise. Engine does not sound at idle (it's petrol B) ), and under deep acceleration it sounds and I like that sound.

I think they should only improve the noise reduction at highway speeds, but it should be done via laminated side windows, which is the main difference between an A4 and an A8, for example. The so-called "new Passat" already has this option as an extra, maybe it's going to be available also on Superb, who knows...

I have recently taken delivery of my Superb Elegance TDI saloon and it is far quieter then my old model and is considerably quieter then the loan car I have at present (Octavia TDI), new model) which really is very noisy with both engine and road noise being excessive. I can't wait for mine to be returned tomorrow.
