Ear phones

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Looking for advice on decent headphones for my MP3 player.

The set i've got just now are excellent but won't stay in my ears

whilst in the gym (ie when running). Any advice on decent

models at reasonable price greatly accepted.

Cheers

I have some Sony MDR-EX71 in ear ones. Not fallen out yet :D

I have a pair of odd-looking Philips ones. They have a clear plastic/rubber 'cylinder' type fitting above the actual earphone which forms a very snug fit inside the ear... Never had them fall out, plus they don't look as fancy as the white 'buds that came with my zen micro... :)

I'm with TaviaRS.

THose sony ones aren't cheap by any stretch, but to put it in context.

I have a Sony CD walkman. This has three setting for bass - normal, bass 1 and bass 2.

With the standard headphones, i was always running with bass set to either 1 or 2 to get a full sound. Even then, it wasn't great.

Bought these, and I rarely even touch setting 1. They're a revelation. Almost as good as the full closed backed ones I use while in the house (Sennheiser IIRC, had them a while)

Sony in ear anyday of the week. I have an old pair which are still going strong.

I'm a bit annoyed that all of them have the pointy bits now which are like ear plugs because they hurt me

My old Sony MDR something in-ear jobbies are still going strong despite years of abuse. And they don't fall out, even at the gym -and I'm a sweaty bloke!

Thanks for the info,

I need to get a pair quick-style, to block out the cheesy tunes

that the gym seem to think sounds good

I'll check out the SONY's, seems to be the popular choice

I'd recommend Sonys as well.

Not sure which current models are good , but I always used the higher end ones with my walkmen and they sounded much better than anything else I tried

Sony MDR-EX71's here...

They are great little headphones for cheap money... And they never fall out (oh, and you can sleep with them in too if you fancy!)
