Rear-view photo of estate

Featured Replies

I've seen a lot of "rear-view" photos of the hatchback; like this:

But not a single one of the estate. Could someone please post?

- In short, I'd love to see how good/bad view you have when you're supposed to back up your car.

As per the hatchback, I find that the rear-window seems a bit narrow, and you don't really get a good overview, but I would assume that that's different with the estate?

Which model are you looking for a pic for?

And that white upholstry would never wear with with my English Springer emoticon-0145-shake.gif

Just simply looking for a photo shot from the driver's seat towards the back on an estate.

Doesn't really matter what model or seat-colour (although if someone has a car with the black felicity interior then that would be highly appreciated)

RS3100 has uploaded some photos's of the dog guard he has fitted here

The view is only from the rear, but if you look how big the mesh part of the guard actually is (not very big) it will give you an idea on how much visibility you will get, IMO it is a good idea to get a trim level that has rear parking sensors (at least) as std, in the UK this would mean an SE or Elegance, but the spec's do change from country to country so it is best to check first.

I have an UK 10 plate Octy estate with black interior..

If someone doesn't beat me too it, I'll take a pic tonight and post it for you. Rear visibility is excellent, but I think I've gotten lazy and rely on the rear parking radar too much :)

ahh.. thanks for all the replies, and thanks for the picture Phil.

I can see that this is definately something to get used to.. it is loooong.

I also see that I'm not gonna regret ordering with parking sensors (actually park assist, because of the missus ;-) )

It isn't a relevant experiment evidence because you'll use the side rear-view mirrors with excellent angle of view as for the central one you can depend 100% on the parking assistant. Not to mention the option to automatically adjust the right side mirror that tilts lower to provide you with the side distance from the sidewalk.
