I just ordered a set of these for my VRS from mytyres - OP, did you order these in the end last year? How did you find them?

My standard spare wheel is definitely a 15 inch.

It's not a VRS standard spare wheel then. :)

I've got a part-worn 16" Continental on my spare so it'd better be a 16 - LOL.

To the OP, better off looking around for better combinations. Wheels plus tyres could be cheaper, especially as you can get 15s and pay les for the tyres anyway.

Look here for the OEM tyre sizes...

With a VRS, don't go smaller than 15s. Though TBH, I think some 14s might actually fit. It'd be a suck-it-and-see approach though...

My local Dexel fitter charged £376 fitted for a set of 4 W310s when I ordered them

Hi mate

I ended up struggling through last winter with the summer tyres, but for this winter I've got 8 x 205/45 16 Goodyear ultra grip gw3 winter tyres from Camskils (£800 delivered).

Four tyres I put on my sons Fabia vRS and the other four are on the wifes SE.

We have not had any snow in Guisborough test them so far this year, but we have had some frost, ice and rain and they have been very good and give you a very reassuring feel when the weather is bad and the roads could be a bit slippery.

The real supprise though is how smooth and quite they are compared to 205/40 17 summer tyres.

Yeah I saw that the Goodyears were available in VRS size, but the Hankooks were cheaper and had decent test reviews. Looking forward to knowing that I can stay as safely mobile as possible whatever this winter throws at us, which is not a lot so far down south!

Hi-Q centres have the Goodyear Eagle Ultragrip GW-3 @ £563.96 fitted - order them online delivered to your local centre

Bloody hell fella, £600 !!!! I picked up a set of BMW 16'' Alloys from ebay (for my 316ti Compact), and then bought 4 x part worn winter tyres with really decent amounts of tread on for £25 a corner..... £200 for the lot !!! Its just silly time with some folk. Think sensible, you will only have them on for a month or so, no point spending that kind of cash.
