I was sure I read something about later model VRS' being very difficult to remove the aerial from while earlier models could be unscrewed and removed easily? I have an 06 and want a stubby at some point, anyone any experience of this?

Just unscrew and pull - but it feels like your going to rip the whole mounting out !!!

In my experience with a seat the cheap stubbies are hopeless.

I do like the look of the honda option though.

I had a shark fin on the seat, it screws into the existing attachment, then uses 3m tape to stick over it and onto the roof. Worked shockingly well too considering its size!

Keep getting BBC Bristol, Somerset and Hereford and Worcester traffic reports now in Newport area with the Honda aerial, did not get them with any other aerial. Looks great and performs better than the OE aerial, can't go wrong. I'm trying to ramp up the Local setting on my Pioneer stereo to try stop the irrelevant traffic interruptions

I am fitting a sharkfin soon just waiting for it to arrive
