HI everyone

I have a 55 plate octavia elegance estate great car loved it from the moment I got it -its my 3rd octavia

today I wound down the drivers window and there was a horrible crunching noise

I scan the internet on how to remove the door card to have a look to no avail.

managed to get it off in the end and when I took the window motor off the cable has come off the pulley and is a bit of a mess

I think this probably happened the other day when my windows were frozen and I tried to open them!!!

my problem now is that this all seems to be in a sealed unit which appears riveted together.

Is there a way of getting into this unit or should i bite the bullet and go to a dealer to get it sorted?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated

Hi and welcome to Briskoda

Sounds like your window regulator has broken. Its a common problem. Parts about £65 IIRC, or £100 fitted. I had 3 go on my last Octy.
