What boost you running ?

Featured Replies

just want to no what sort of boost people are running and what mods there have done as i like my boost lol used to run 34 psi in my old saff cossie . Now i run about 10 in the vrs

Limp mode = 5psi

Standard map = 10psi

APR Stage 1 = 17psi

Shark Performance Stage 1 = 19psi

Only engine performance mods are a K&N panel filter, Forge DV (green spring) and G60 Flywheel.

1 bar peak on low boost, makes 255bhp (I have a manual boost controller)

1.7 Bar peak on full, makes 325bhp

19psi peak Forge ipro (O.CT) Stage 1

19 psi on shark performance map

Errmm...... enough!?

Never had the car on rollers mate so no idea I'm afraid. Most Stage 1 maps make about 205-210bhp on a standard car I think.

I'll see if I can get onto Janspeed's rollers between Christmas and the New Year, as I've been on them before with another car. I always seem to miss out on the club RR days!

Here's a review I did on the Shark map: http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/178029-review-stage-1-map-on-a-18t-auq/

I also have a shark stage 2 map and mine is running at 1.5bar which is about 22 psi. I've had this running for a year now with no problems

see i would like 1.5 bar lol got to be about 230 brake ?

1.5 bar thats high pressure for the little k03 turbo!!!!!!!

im guessing it drops right back to 1 bar quickly ??? i hope for the turbo's sake lol

My K03s peaks at a little over 1.5 bar and has done so for about 4 years......no probs to date.

However, I always use Mobil 1 0W40 SHC and change it annualy at 1.5K which might help the turbo.

Plus the other mods I've done help to elliminate compressor surge, which as we all know if left unchecked fecks overboosted/overspeeded turbo's.

Bill.

Oh oh oh a saph cossie!

I will own one someday!

I'm running standard boost for the moment, thinking about a shark stage 1 tho.

Im getting a stage 1 revo tomorrow, what boost would that run?

Can you still adjust the boost up a bit to make more power?

Joe
