Double Lumbar Supports

Featured Replies

If the brochure is to be believed :giggle: it is the Elegance only that has "double lumbar supports (front)." Take it that means one support per front seat and not two?

Rather strange it is the Elegance only listed with these.

There optional on the SE at £80 and yes one per front seat

Yes one per seat, and this is the first car I have had with Lumbar supports where I find they are really needed.

In previous vehicles the most comfortable setting has been with them nearly completely flat, in my Yeti they need to be nearly fully out for best comfort.

I don't know if lower range vehicles have a built in fixed support at the midway position, but if it is nearer the flat position, it would be quite uncomfortable. I have only been in my Elegance version.

Thanks for the confirmation, thought so.

I agree Ken.

Actually, I wouldn't object if there was even more adjustment as I have mine at full out poition all the time.

Mind you, my other car has absolutely fantastic Recaro sports seats - the most comforatble seats I've experienced on a car, ever.

Yes, I agree with others - they do work, unlike the ones in my old Golf which really didn't seem to do anything, and for me they work best fully deployed. O verall i find the Yeti seating as comfortable as anything I can remember for a long time.

I have now done many a mile in the Yeti and have to say the seats impress. I feel as fresh as the moment I got in the car after getting out hours later. My car has the electric seat with the fully adjustable lumber for the driver. It goes up and down by about 100 to 150mm and in and out by 50mm or so (I think - not measured any of this!)... so you can adjust it for near anywhere. The passenger seat has just the normal lever and it just goes in and out with no up and down. It is ok, but I have to admit I could not find a position where I liked it so moved it totally out of the way.

I drove 3 1/2 hours in one stint in my electric chaired Yeti and got out and after a few minutes realised that with my Octavia I would have been in much pain but was feeling ok. Very impressed with the seats. I drove in total 8 1/4 hours in a 10 hour period and it was just like others have said, feeling amazingly fresh at the end of my journey.
