Does anyone know if it is possible to upgrade the firmware in the Columbus Sat Nav system so that the Maps are upgraded? My Superb is a month old and the maps are a bit outdated.

You don't need to upgrade the firmware to upgrade the maps. The latest maps is V7 and its available on a DVD. The map data on that DVD is from Q4 2009.

Your dealer should have given you a DVD with the car, it sounds like they didn't so you should be able to get a V7 disk from them for free. Otherwise it is a rather expensive purchase.

Any dealer can obtain one - at a cost (IIRC they are around £180 )

There are other ways of obtaining them that are questionable and will probably get this thread removed as it's against Briskoda's policy to advertise or promote shareware etc of genuine software.

It is also possible to use a disc more than once ....
