Hopefully you recognise it, but what's missing? And does it matter?

The little screw that holds the disc in place. I would say its required to stop the disc moving about.

Now then it's a bloody nuisance trying to replaces the wheels and line everything up with these screws missing, but other than that are they important?

They are there purely to hold the disc "In Situ" & serve no "structural" purpose.

But if was not meant to be there, it would not have been there from the factory.

It was a rhetorical question and answer is as expected. Just as well really since both these screws are mysteriously sheared on the front of my car!!!

One of mine is sheared as well. Only hassle is when changing wheels, otherwise it makes no difference as the wheel bolts hold it in place with the wheels on.
