Ice symbol goes off at -7 degrees?

Featured Replies

why does the ice symbol go off when the temp gets lower then 7 degrees? and then when it rises back to 7 it bongs and comes back on?

mines was 4 degree's?

it just bleebs when it goes below 4 degree's to warn you that its getting icy, also a ice light pops on....

when temp rises above 4 degree's it probaly bleebs again to let you know theres no chance of ice and the light goes out

Think he means -7deg. ;) There was a thread about it a while ago too I think - never seen it that cold here though, so dunno if the Polo does it as well.

Warning is at +4deg. on mine also. Thought that was standard on all VAG cars, me old Golf was the same.

The 05/05 issue of the Owner's Manual says that the outside temperature indicator will appear with a snowflake symbol and a warning signal sounds when the outside temperature lies between +5 degrees C and -5 degrees C.
