Hello rossa

Do you mean distance between gas pedal and floor or, distance between gas pedal and brake??

Have you measured this distance, if you did, we could add what we find on our Fabia's to that of yours.?

Photo of Fabia pedals lifted from the net - 439377d1287153102-first-drive-skoda-fabia-f-l-1-6-petrol-photo1246.jpg

If they look something like that then don't worry.

cant really tell from the photo but its the distance from the floor,

its a good inch further away from me than the brake pedal.

its not revving more, is just a bit annoying as it feels like i need to push it further.

maybe its just like that and im not used to it ...

Pretty much every car I've owned and driven has been like this.

you think the fabia pedals are hard...

try driving a 106 or saxo with size 10 feet (although thinking about that who would actually want to LOL)

:o

Yes its normal, I believe its done like that so the accelerator pedal is not pressed by mistake when braking. As another poster has mentioned this setup is pretty much standard these days.

If everything works fine, I don't think you have a problem here.

If angle of gas pedal changes ie:- slopes to one side, this may indicate pedal bushes have failed

and allowing pedal to drop down one side.

Why not compare with a similar model of car, simply take some measurements.
