lowest miles vrs

Featured Replies

just wonderin who had the lowest miles on there vrs for the age of the car? i bought mine off an old guy who had it from new and only did 15k in 3 years. ( i did more then that in the first year i had it ) so mine is a 55 plate and done 36k. anyone else got a low miler?

I bought mine last year, its an 06 and was about 3 years 2 months when i bought it. It only had 13012 miles on it. Its got 34005 now!! lol

mines 07 56 with 40800

I've got an 06 with 24000 on it, bought it in Sept 08 with 11000

Got an 06 with 25K on bought 3 months back with 22k on it.

My vRS was not impressive (2yo, 37k), mothers (non-vRS) Fabia was bought 2yo with 14k on.

What was impressive was my first car. 1981 Metro (15.5 years old at the time I got it), with only 15,000 miles showing on the clock. 10 years later (2006) it was sent to the scrap yard with only 70k on it. My 6 year old vRS is coming that mileage now.

I've owned my 04 since new. I took it for it's mot today, 43566 miles. It will be 11 years old in June. 11 years is a record for me, last 2 cars were 8 & 9 years.

Holy thread bump batman!

Cant say low as mine just clocked the 100.000 couple of weeks ago still runs great and love it

Wow I just looked at the date

Haha, good question though, especially with the cars getting on a bit now. The early press demos will be coming up for 12yrs old in August, if any are still running :D

Wonder if there's a 53-plate out there with 25k on it or something!

Mines an 04 with 134,000, starting to show it's age a little now but still drives well and to my knowledge still on the original turbo and clutch.

Not that low then ;)

Not that low then ;)

My mate has an 05 Passat that's done over 350,000 so not to bad lol.

Bet lloyds is the same still lol

Low miles to my mind is way less important than how a car was used and serviced.  Our vRS was bought on a 57 plate with 48K miles advertised (it has actually covered 50K).  We bought it last year at 7 years old and initailly, I was dead chuffed.  However it transpired it had belonged to the wife of a Skoda Mech, had covered mainly short town trips and never had a cam belt change despite 7 years ownership.  The EGR was clogged so wouldn't shut off, so the car stuttered.  The inlet manifold was 30% restricted with gunge as a result of the EGR issue and required removal and acid bath dipping to restore to parent metal.  Injectors needed cleaning through/deglazing, intercooler was full of crap and suspension bushes shot. It looked immaculate from the outside and had a full service history which proved...errr...nothing!  We ended up spending £800 on it, replacing cam belt, water pump, suspension bushes, blanking EGR, recoding ECU and remapping (Quantum economy map = 165BHP).  We'd have been better off buying a well cared for 100K mile model.  Short trips = engine killers.

Mine is a 53 plate, originally the garage demo car. Bought with 3k on the clock. Now on 36k....

It doesn't get used much.

Mines just clicked on to 92000. Just about run in I'd say.

we had a KA in a few weeks back 02 plate 2340 miles on the clock! was a oap's car who used it once a week to go down the post office (always garaged) who died and left it to his grandson it was like brandnew stickers still on the engine and shocks
