Who Led The Way?

Featured Replies

Hidy peeps

People are asking, Who's had the Vrs on order the longest? Also people ask who is the youngest Vrs owner? I on the other hand want to know who was the wisest and got there Vrs before all the hype? At the time that people still really took the pi55 out of the badge, at a time before reviews, a time when you had to drive the car to realise it's potential. I am myself reasonably wise, I ordered mine June 2001 and took delivery the same day that the new plates came out (00.00 1st Sept 2001). So is there anyone wiser than me on this wise site for wise people.

George

..and then there were those that were wiser still, did some research and took a chance on the 4x4 :D

(I booked the first 4x4 into Jabba, but was actually the second to be done....)

(oh, and I organised the first Jabba group buy :D)

Jon would be the first to really play mod wise with an RS, or possibly ****.

jon was the first to play with ****? or am i reading that wrong?

Boom, boom! :basil brush smiley: :hilarius:

:naugh... :ignore:

Doh...too slow...

Rob.

What's an RS then? :P

Serious post.. if you don't know who **** is.. you need to do a little research on your RS modding history...

Could you spell that with a capital D, please Ian, to avoid any silly Mawerisms

April 2002 got one of the first WRC limited Editions, no idea what I was buying as you were not allowed to test drive it, test drive was in a vRS, and sales pitch was "if you like this, you will love the WRC" very true.

A chap in Royston has a rather nice silver Octy vRS on a 'Y' plate... and as far as I am aware has had it from new :)

That is the car that started it for me :D Three years later I could actually afford to buy and insure one!

I think their may be a few earlier cars around though - some of the press cars were registered on 'X' plates IIRC.

My 4x4 is on a Y.. but was 6mths old when I bought it (dealer demonstrator)
