Skoda Octavia 2003 1.9 TDI hatch back. First Skoda and supprised as to how good a car it is

Had a Diesel runaway, Engine went to flat out lots of blue smoke, ignition switch would not kill it, had to get 5th gear and stall. Engine made about 6200 rev, thats off the clock.

After about 10 to 15 mins cooling down car is like nothing happened other than engine responce is like new.

is there a history on thies cars that may indicate where the prob is
