Hi All,

Had the engine managment light come on today, plugged in my sts unit and got the code, P1296.

This looks to be the temp sender, has anyone changed one? Is this a simple job?

Not looked for it yet, will do tomorrow in the day light, and when its stopped raining! I understand this is on the right hand side of the block?

Have called my local skoda garage, and they have a sender in stock, thinking of picking one up in the morning.

Yeah its on the right

There is two one is for the guage and one is the temp guage for the ecu one is brown and one is green if i remember rightly! cant remember which is which tho, anyone else help?

I think its green! anyway, its not that bad justmake sure you get the clips on right as they do not really fit that well and the sender is on push fit its self.
