the way i see it from what i've read....

is the standard injectors can put enough fuel in, BUT they have to fuel for longer which can cause engine problems after a while, wheras the uprated nozzles can get the fuel in within a safe timescale?

yay or nay?

Hmm, I remember stating warwick's was running on standard injectors fairly recently in another thread, only to be incorrectly shot down by some who seem to think they know everything.................

From here

"Depends on rollers. Awsome gti said I had 360 lbs then went r tech n told 300. So might be a dodgy read out".

I honestly give up. Tuners must be wrong, Who's gonna break the news to the folks such as Jason, Rub87, Majesty. Bobby Singh, over on TDI club etc who have all bought new injectors, that they don't actually need them, to make big power?

/\ looks like i may have to sell my uprated injectors over on tdi club as the skoda fabia already has injectors capable of 500bhp

Saucer of milk for that kitten?

No-one seems to be claiming such wild figures (500bhp), just merely confirming more than 220-230bhp from standard injectors is possible. Given the money that warwick spent on his upgrade I doubt he'd skimp on injectors.

We'll have to agree to disagree, I don't agree that standard injectors can flow over 220 - 230!

I DEFFO don't agree with the 300bhp comment, that's absurd! N20 adds more oxygen to the mix, along with water/meth decreasing intake temp, allowing you colder dense air, along with the turbo + a better designed manifold for better air flow.....so all this air is great, but what are you going to burn with it? There is simply not enough diesel! However who said this? Is it a company? if that's the case for 300bhp, I'll happily sign up!

A story about tuning companies.... Over on the Rover Forum, a friend, Mark (DonnyDiesel), had a Rover 400, with a bigger turbo and bigger injectors, done by a reputable tuning company (i'll Say who, if i'm allowed to Mods?), and was told he was running 193bhp. Happy as Larry, with his dyno print out.

Two weeks later and no further mods since, he goes on another dyno. 148bhp.

Goes back to the original company, another dyno, 190bhp.

Uses a different dyno, well known as accurate with the RX7 club, 153bhp.

He wasn't very happy........Moral of the story? Dynos can be tricked, using various techniques like not securing a car down well enough, 3rd gear runs etc.

We cant agree to disagree, as I dont disagree with you?

Im fully aware of how dyno's can show interesting reads, load it up for a 4th gear run, throw it in 3rd and wham, you have 200bhp on a standard KKK turbo with little smoke and a turbo still working a few miles down the road.

Im saying at this moment in time, I dont care about uprated injectors, as the big ass list of people that have them run slower times than me....

Im not going to be on the market for uprated anythings for some time, and my clutch is shagged, turbo is about to blow up, but ive lost interest again. 2013 maybe lol.

Hopefully by then, the standard injectors will be able to run this 500bhp you speak off guys.

The point I was making is go to 3 different companies, and you get 3 answers. Cant make 200bhp, Cant make 240bhp and Cant make 300bhp.

So when we having a rolling road day?

Ha where? Shouldnt it be, when are we having a 1/4 event day + a weight in?

Saucer of milk for that kitten?

i wanted uprated injectors...michael at jabba said no need...he's the expert.

I have just sold my 2nd hand set of uprated nozzles, +40% flow.... but they were'nt to a skoda owner which was lucky on my part, as skoda's don't need uprated injectors as the original ones are amazing... they are like +100% flow already

:giggle:

I think its down to so many different factors, turbos, FMIC, and the biggest factor must be the mapping. At the end of the day, if your car is running well and your happy what does it matter. If you get to 230bhp and your tuner/mapper says you need bigger injectors for more power, its up to you to make the choice. If your happy with their map and previous work, and trust them might as well stick some it. I`d rather do that than go somewhere else promising massive BHP with standard ones, and ending up with maybe more power, but a **** poor drive and peeky map. Its not all about figures, and i think all setups are different. All IMO of course
