Sorry Rob, of course. It just clicked as soon as I saw your reply that you had a set of the old FSD model. In that case, completely agree with your decision

Old fsd? Are there new ones now?

[moley - sorry for the thread hi-jack! maybe this should be a new thread.. ]

Yep i had to have a new grill after 2 weeks of ownership after a 4x4 reversed into it. There are lines on the back of the badge which line up with the grill slats. I just used Bostik all purpose glue and its still on there! Jet washed everyweek and gets hammered up and down the motorway everyday.

Great idea, and sure enough I had a tube of it and it's on the car. Sadly I left the opened tube by my slippers in the rush out the door and alas.......

edit: Have now prized them apart whilst being glared at by the wife

Happy to help and also given me a great laugh in the process but a painful laugh with my chest infection :'(

Did you just stick them to each other or did you manage to stick them to the floor too? :p :giggle:

No luckily the glue had only got to the slippers. Good job I was wearing them else my feet would need debonding now

Small but effective mod. Cannot bear the 'Octavia' font on the new car so it had to go. Dont mind the vRS badge but that may go in time too. A visit to Autosport in Birmingham and the Brembo stand tomorrow may prove more expensive mod though

Funny, but I keep thinking about replacing my Octavia badge with the new one as I quite like it

It you get down to the land fill in South Birmingham (known locally as Rubery) I think it should be appearing in the next few days!

:giggle: probably cheaper to pay a tenner for it off ebay than to travel 150 miles there and back, but thanks for the heads up

Bit of an update to show how the rear blend will look once bonded on in the bodyshop when the Eibachs are fitted. Nice and subtle IMHO. Car is on a slope so not quite the right angle but you get the idea!

That looks braw Moley. Where did you get it from if you don't mind me asking? Superskoda?

  • Author

Direct from Milotec. Cost about £75 including delivery

Did the rear window blend come from the company on the following link Moley?

http://www.rsdcars-uk.co.uk/acatalog/info_713.html

Also, did you get the correct badge for your front grille and if so do you have a part number for it (the badge, not the grille - i seen your post about the grille earlier in this thread)

Cheers!

I did contact them intially but they don't stock the blend so they sent me straight to Milotec here http://milotec.de/index.php?cat=c307_Rear-spoiler.html&XTCsid=fefbfd0d58cf56213f54fc10e591a5c7 . They only take bank transfer which is about £15 but this can be done easily via your bank (mine was Barclays and a simple in bank transaction)

Regards the vRS badge, I ordered it from Skoda Kidderminster. It is part number :- 1Z0853679BLAQ

Thanks Moley, grill and bage ordered 5 minutes ago from my local dealer, came to about £66 in total including the VAT.

Look forward to seeing it

Went a bit mental with the credit card and ordered the milotec rear window blend + the honeycomb front grille from superskoda too.

Might wait until the weather improves a bit (late spring) to get the bits fitted though.

Thanks for all your advice on this thread Moley, really appreciated. Loking forward to seeing your car with the springs on too, as thats another mod I am planning to do too (eventually!)

Definitely looks a lot better Moley. Did you order the replacement caps for the wheel nuts? I stuck the locking wheel bolt covers onto the longer normal bolts with a wee bit of blu-tack - that was a couple of weeks ago and they've stayed on fine.

  • Author

I must order some caps actually. I presume they are standard size bolt ends

17mm
