Hi, People,

I have searched , I have purchased new sidlelights for the Octavia Vrs Mk2 but I am unable to get the light cover off the rear of the lights, I have moved the metal clips but cannot remove the plastic covers?

Any Tips?

Are you talking about the large clear plastic cover? If the bulbs have never been changed it will be a bit tight, but with a bit of force it will come off.

Tbh, the fun has only just began, getting the sidelights out can be a real bitch...............by the way, have you removed the light unit from the car?

Check there are no screws in there, as if you have HIDs I believe they are screwed closed too.

I gotta take the whole head light out, great looks like a weekend job - thank you skoda !!

Takes a couple of mins to slide the headlight out, one spinner and a lever and it pops out.

I've just removed both headlamps, fitted my new HID kit and replaced in 16 minutes...........not that I was timing myself you understand!

Thanks once again people, I really needed this guide, I will wait for this poxy weather to sort its self out then have a crack, thanks all once again really helpful !
