you're probably not going to get a representative response as it's more likely that older people do not use internet forums than younger people. how many people in their teens, 20's 30's use the internet compared to 70's, 80's

Yeah, I'm in my 60's....

........mind you the Roomster is the family car, I drive a Lotus Elise :p

I was 30 when we ordered our first Roomster back in 2007 (and at that time did not even know that we had family increase coming even though we knew we are getting a child by the time it was delivered).

The Roomie is definately a car for people that appreciates day-to-day practicality and low running costs on the expense of a head-turning sportscar that can outrun anything on the block. That said our first generation roomster with the 1.9 Diesel felt much quicker than the BMW 320 automatic (mid 90s model) we had before that. And to be able to easily get in and out of a car is something that also younger people can enjoy.

Owned mine for 2 years. I'm 34.

I am 57 and have had the Roomy for two years. The Roomy has been first class for moving my lads between home and universities (Leeds, Sheffield and Newcastle upon Tyne). Your question needs also to question usage, when my lot are home they use the car to get them to various canoing and Mountain Bike venues; their ages are 21 - 30.

This happy breed

35, I wanted a vehicle for putting / carrying my bike in, and this does it well, with out looking too much like a van

I'm 35 and a father of two. Owner of Roomster since July. Former cars were Octavia MK1 1.6, PUG 106 XN 1.4 5d and a Fabia 1.2 12v (replaced the PUG). Skoda is in part of my life since 2002.

37 father of two

I'm starting to think I shouldn't have one because its a young man's car. :giggle:

42 and a father of 2.

I use it mainly for work but on weekends take three dogs to the beach along with 2 adults and 2 children. Amazing little car and really pleased with it.

I'm 34, had my car for 2 years, in Black with 17" Scout alloys, Eibach lowering springs and a re-map to the 1.9tdi, and a Forge quick-shifter

They won't even see which way you went, never mind how old the driver was !

well worthy of a track day if you're so inclined

It's a great practical car with tonnes of room, and a genuine and consistant 55mpg even through winter on my 17 mile commute

thats 600 -620 miles on a tank for about £60 worth of diesel

I think it's an interesting looking car too, gets compliments when it's clean

I should post a photo on here...... I'd do it if I knew how

does this work :-

<img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3662/3518148310_5e8b332a24_z.jpg"/>'>http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3662/3518148310_5e8b332a24_z.jpg"/>

Edit : apparently not !

this does when pasted into the address bar, but how do I get it to show on a page ?

Its hard to show how the picture is embedded because then it just shows the photo. :wonder:

Try this, I've put it in quotes and put xxx where it should be IMG

Hi Bripete

If you like the car......................go for it. Suggest though that you look at 105BHP in the range as the Roomie is quite a heavy car........yes thats right ...well built by modern standards.

AND it works well in snow!

I wish mine did. :( In the snow, my old Allegro would have run rings around my Roomy.

I suspect the Scout's wide, low profile tyres are to blame

Back on topic, I'm 59 - but when I get into my Roomy, I feel I'm 29 again.
