Are BMW Z3s really that bad?

Featured Replies

Look at the price of 'em! 2-3 years ago, a 3.0 Z3 would set you back over 30K once you'd visited the options list. The same car today with under 20,000 on the clock can be yours for 12-14K, including generous optional extra spec.

Are these cars cheap for a reason?

Had a spin in a friends. tried to put it in reverse and the gearknob came off in my hand :D

Think they just had wrong image but i reckon they are a bargain and must be a good car under that dress ;) drove ok!

I really like them - they have a bit of a rep as a girls car but they do drive nice :D

Baby Witchfinder won't fit in one of those ... :nono: :D

Test drove one of these when they came out, was only the 1.9 available then but was a lovely drive, the back axle feels like it's just behind your seat....

I was ready to buy one, was living with my folks and had a decent IT salary.. then something happened called "sandra" and I decided to spend my money on houses etc....

I'm going to have one at some point, but will be an M roadster not a 1.9 :D

My mate just bought a 1.9 version and wanted to race me, so I did. Easily beet the thing, was not at all impressed with it. Didn't look that nice inside and it was a bmw so thats a no no. It is his first car but definately not for me.

As a first car, you could do a lot worse!

RWD, nice balance, and not too much power, will teach him plenty before he moves up to stuff that will put the novice into a hedge :D
