Finally got an FMIC :)

Featured Replies

After a trip to Andyrew's house to collect the FMIC and then after TomTom having a nervous issue of getting on the motorway I finally got to my bro's house and set about doing what I have been dying to do for a long time now...

How she looked this morning...

Lucky you were well supervised :)

Thanks again for the "help" bro B)

Looks good mate. How does it behave now compared to the smic?

should behave exactly the same just wont get the onset of heatsoak

will see the full benifit when he goes stage 2 and when driven hard ( as he always does)

It's hard to tell mate.

I had a reeeally long day today, and you know that feeling when you make a major change to your motor?

It felt good all the way home but with the gales on the M3/M25 and the loss of my totally knackered splitter it's hard to judge.

Plus the tiger seal was still wet when I drove home (hence the black/yellow tape) so I wasn't pushing my luck with something hitting the grill before it was totally set.

Ah no worries dude, keep me informed as I lm stuck between this and the forge jobbie when I finally get round to fitting one

Clive only good thing about Subaru is the noise  I'll see/hear you Friday

Widemouth looks like a tidy job.

Looking smart

comparing this to my forge i have to say the pro alloy is much better and bigger and overall a very well put together item

was shocked at how good it was

I had a look today and was wondering what to do number plate wise.

The company I work for use a sign writing firm so I could ask them to make me a vinyl plate.

I know it wont be legal but I can get them to use legal lettering and make it look as legal as possible.

What has everyone else done once they have cut the front out?

i run a little one, have done for a year now (with no bother even passed it's mot ;) ) i do however carry the original in the boot just incase!

Here is mine set to the left side.

Just used a std plate cut down so the letters were still std size

Thats more like what I was thinking in keeping the letters a legal size.

I've got a couple of spare front number plates, I think I'll give it a bash.

I left about 5mm border to make it look better

What did you cut the plate down with, a hacksaw/jigsaw?

jigsaw with fine blade as a rough blade will catch the plastic and crack it.

Also you could cut the plate with a blade that cuts downwards or mark the plate on the rear and cut from reverse side.

Then I finnished off with rough sand paper going down to finer and then a finnish off with rubbing comp and wax.

Looks very good now..
