Under the scuttle panel on the nearside, as seen in the image below. If you have little hands you can change it without removing the scuttle cover, but expect a few scratches on your hands. It has been said that poorly fitted ones can cause water leaks in behind the glovebox though.

Remove rubber trim at the bottom edge, and then if you care clever and careful you list up the nearside half without needing to remove the offside section (and the wipers) - does require some wiggling.

Essentially the scuttle panel is clipped into a grove at the bottom of the windscreen glass - you can see it in my picture. Pull the panel up at 90 deg to the windscreen and it should come out. Beware that when it is cold, the plastic is less flexible and some members have broken theirs. Do it carefully and you should be fine.

If you opt to remove the offside piece first you will need to remove the wipers, and they always seem to get stuck on, so I suggest a dab of copper-slip (or what ever) when reassembling. Oh, and watch out for the washer jet pipes on the offside section.

Cracked my windscreen when tapping the clips back into place just using my hand. Be careful!!!

Think this is a warm weather or warm garage job at least, mine was a nightmare to free! warming the plastic with heat is a good idea!

Word of advice... Make sure it is sitting 100% flat, because mine was ever so slightly lifted and on a very heavy rainy day it flooded my passenger foot well.

That might suggest your drainage pipework is not clear, or the grommet next to the pollen filter is not secure.
