i have heard today (probbably the last to know) that the fabia will be comming out shortly with the 1.4 pd engine anybody else heard this?

I think its been out on the continent for a while, so it may well be coming out here soon.

Its available in the Polo and its supposed to be a peach of an engine!

1.4TDI 55kw 5 speed is listed on the CZ Skoda web site as is the 1.9TDI 96kw RS Fabia 6 speed.

Im in CZ next week so hopefuly will get to see some examples of these.

Stopan - Look out for a nice Czech beer I tasted for the first time yesterday evening. I think it was called Stamopramel, brewed in Prague. It tastes DAMN lovely, but I was only allowed one :(

Back on topic(ish), reading a year old copy of AutoExpress yesterday in which they had an

exclusive on a new Skoda. This was a two-door "mini", set to replace the Arosa and Polo,

and having the engines from the Audi A2. Looked a lot like a Fabia. Anyone heard of this

either?
