Hi...was just wondering whether anyone can shed some light on the 105bhp tdi engine on the superb greenline....just wanted to know if the engine was fitted on any other skoda models...ie octavia ambiente for example?

Thanks for that info, nice write up about the new 1.6 tdi engine, but now that skoda have deleted a lot of the standard trim on the newer model, it then becomes apparent that when the superb greenline 1st came out it was very attractively priced.

Just did a quick math and in standard kit the older superb greenline came in at £17280 with metalic paint and that was without the optional extra's. Compare that to the newer superb greenline 2, and then add on the extra's in order to equal the spec on the older model and the price goes up to £19840...a difference of £2500 odd.

Makes me wonder if it would actually pay to keep the older greenline model, rather than shell out for the extra in order to get the same specifications. The other problem would be, if motability will do the new superb greenline model, and what the deposit would be, plus the optional extra's added on in oreder to equal the present car we have.

Just have to wait n see !!
