Exhaust System

Featured Replies

I've not changed my exhaust system yet, but I'm thinking of changing to a Ferrita (www.ferrita.se).

Do I gain much in changing the catalyst from the original to a race or some other cat?

Or should I only change the exhaust system only?

Cheers,

You gain a fair bit by swapping from standard cats to race/freeflow cats with the ability to still meet emissions requirements (if you turn the climate control off ;) ). I got about 15bhp and 35lb/ft of torque from doing it. The other alternative is to remove the cats altogether, which gives even more power, noise, bangs, crashes and possibly even flames :D Unfortunatley, you will fail an emissions test and your ECU light will probably go on as it thinks the cat has malfunctioned.

If you do go decat, PM Disco on here as he can supply the ECU fix for it. I'm sure he can ship to Sweden. Don't think anyone else in this country can supply this fix.
