Glad I saved myself several months and several grand by getting the Fab

Let her pay the extra then and spen the money you have saved on something nice.

Yes there will be a Gti, but not until the facelift, due later in the year. Probably cost more as well. So

Or buy a skoda then go to a VW dealer after she has purchased hers and stick them on yours. Say "there you go, its a VW, you wanted the badge, and you paid

Truly shocking, Ian

Where's the rolling over the road spinning smiley for cars? ;)

Serious question, would you consider a "different" 130 hatch like the Ibiza or Polo, if they all cost the same?

Prefer the Polo 'Dune', now that is a funky looking motor :)

Personally, no. Think the Fabia looks much better IMO. So if they all cost exactly the same, Skoda would still get my money.

Just reading about it in the jan issue of car magazine.

Due out in late 2005 uses the 150bhp 1.8t 20v engine from the new golf...a lt edition 180bhp will also be sold.

Would be the same as the Ibiza FR 1.8T then, which in standard spec feels very lame compared to the 130 PD.
