Help Needed

Featured Replies

Hello Chaps and chapesses,

Sorry for my absence of late...work...women etc all playing a part in being absent.

My ole machine is coming up for it's 1st MOT in March and I have a wee slight problem to get over........... :shakehead

I have a totally De-cat exhaust and naturally it will fail emmisions badly. So does anyone know where I can find someone who could..er...help me get by if you see what I mean ;) PM would I suggest be the way to go, not so as to create any problemos if you see what I mean :nervous: :banned: .

I am sure I am not the only one who has this problem to contend with. Someone who can do this in the West Midlands would be a great help and recommendstion from someone who has used said bods would be much appreciated, as I don't fancy shelling out

Not sure where the cats are on the Octy, but with the Scooby we just swapped the decat centre section for a catted centre section. This brought the emissions down enough to pass on MOT day and only cost us 20 quid at the local exhaust place to get switched :D

I have the first cat from the octy, was part of my decat system to pass emissions. Just unbolt tube, bolt cat in do test, remove...circa 30mins on a ramp...never did use it as A. got rid of decat and b. don't need an mot yet.

Andre, mine was a marginal pass with a full decat - just get it 'kin hot before they do it and you should pass :D

Got a full complete furby OEM TDI exhaust lying around if you need to borrow it? :D

Thanks chaps, most helpful. Jon seeing as this used to be your exhaust, I will give that a try as well. Oh no I will have to cane it.....again..... :D

get IP to lean it off a little on the remap that will help?

Andre,

Get Mike (IP) to make up a cat pipe so you can swap them over at will.

I've still got the oem octy vrs exhaust with cat in the garage.
