Exhaust sticking out too far?

Featured Replies

Just something that's been annoying me a little. I have a Milltek cat back exhaust but I find it pokes out a little more than I'd like from the rear end. Not much, but I'd like it to be flush with the back of the bumper. Is there anything that can be done to shift it's position in a little?

Yes the centre pipe can be moved further onto the cat/downpipe moving the whole system forward providing the backbox doesn't hit the rear beam.

Thanks, I had a suspicion something like that was feasible. Is it a DIY job do you reckon?

Depends on your DIY skills and how long its been fitted.

Probably been on about 3/4 years and while I haven't a lot of Car experience I've a fair bit of general engineering and technical experience so I know my way around a tool set. I'll try and get it up on the axle stands and have a look then.

If its been on that long id hazzard a guess your going to struggle, that will be corroded and furred up like a good un.

Oh well, I'll have a gander when I get a chance anyway.
