Am going to do my wheels wot filler did u use matey on one off mine wheel I have abit off bubbling tothe alloy

Did you use etch primer at all, or just normal primer??

Am goin to use filler primer

Filler primer and chemical metal to repair any dents etc

There's no dents on mine, so just sanding and filling the corroded areas, then sanding again to get it smooth before spraying but i've only got normal primer for wheels and not etch primer that others suggested earlier in the thread. I'm not planning on respraying the whole wheel, just the areas that need it, so wondered if i needed etch or if the normal primer will do??

I stripped mine right back all over and just used normal primer.

Etch primer just has a bit of acid in it to allow it to bond better with wahtever you spray it on to.

i can't see that you'll have any problems with normal primer if you sand them down adequately

Cheers Cliff.

I'm not planning on a full refurb, so just wanted to make sure.

Lacquer sticks to paint

paint sticks to primer

primer sticks to wheel or etch primer REALLY sticks to wheel
