Fabia 2 Vrs Mats?

Featured Replies

Yep , did the same - mine arrived today as well - they will run out at this rate.

Quality seems OK. I could put them on the floor in front of the sofa and pretend I was driving my yet to arrive vRS - but thats just silly emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Hi Guys,

I get my new VRs tomorrow :)

can any new owners tell me if the old matts fit? it does look possible, also are the fixings on the old (Vrs) mats part of the car, or can I transfare them to the new car?

Cheers

My Mk1 vRS mats have oval shaped holes the new mats have round holes. The old mats seem to be longer.

Well the mats we got with the fabia logo 3 weeks ago have got a very scuffed patch in the middle and starting to wear through.

There is less wear on the 2007 A3 mats!

yep, I can confirm this now, I picked the car up yesterday...

new car has the round "Studs" for the new matts, I took the old Studs out of the mk1 anyway, so i can secure them if needed., the matt shape is not quite right to fit snug, but it is good enough for now.

  • 1 month later...

My wife has worn out two sets already!!!

I've dealt with Ambassador many, many times - both trade and personal orders.. nothing short of EXCELLENT every time!

As people have said, the customer service is great, the quality is fantastic and to get them in less than 48 hours is just the icing on the cake! I used the Custom Car Mat designer every time to design my own set.

Don't forget to use the "EASTEROFFER" discount code online to get your 15% off though..

Oh and if you're on Facebook, you've got to get on to their page!

http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Ambassador-Car-Mats/184612478229263

They've just started doing Prize Draws (next one due soon I think)

You basically just have to like the page, and you're in with a chance.

If you're name's drawn, you choose a set of fitted mats for whatever car you want (plus the extras - colour selection etc.) and they send them you for free.

I thought it was a scam but I got in touch with the guy who won the first draw (Auto Supreme Valeting I think they're called) and he assured me all he did was click "Like" and a few days later he had a set of mats for a Caddy van!!!

Hope this is comes in useful :)

Oh and I see Ambassador have just uploaded some new Skoda car mat sets!

May aswell make the most of this "EASTEROFFER" 15% discount they have going and go see if they have what you're looking for!

I'm sure if you can't find what you're looking for then they'd sort you with whatever you need if you contact them

We should try and get a group buy going for some mats!

Just ordered some now, was on the phone to ambassadors.

Gone for black, with red trim and the vRS logo.

Will take pictures when they arrive on Thursday! (That's when I was told they would arrive anyway)

Did you get the extra discount?

How much all in did they cost??

Yes, I just mentioned the discount over the phone, it was deducted no problem.

Think it was around the £36 mark in the end delivered, can't remember exactly how much!

CAR MATS GROUP BUY

I've spoke to Alex at Ambassador, the retail price is £32.99 + £8.50 P&P.

He informed me that there is already a 15% discount on the website.

He also said, that if we manage to find 20 people to take part in the group buy that the discount will be raised to 20% and postage and packing will be lowered from £8.50 to £7.50 per package.

Therefore we'd already be saving £20 just in lowered P&P rates.

Overall, we'd save approx. £132 on 20 sets of mats and £20 on P&P.

Each member of the group would state which colours they would like (mat colour and trim colour) and which vehicle they want their mats to fit.

Thats a saving of £150+ on a group buy of 20

I'd happily be involved.. someone maybe start a thread on the forum to see if anyone else is interested?

There was also another alternative on the postage.

Alex told me he could send ALL 20 sets out for just £15 BUT (big but) it would be in 2 boxes which would both be shipped to the same address.

Therefore whoever received the mats would have to distribute the mats to all other 19 members of the group from their end.

Either that or the other 19 travel to where the mats have been shipped and pick their own set up.

Would save us a lot more (would cost £150 shipping to 20 different addresses so we'd save £135) but I don't know if this would cause too much hassle?

Also, if anyone would like personalised embroidery on their mats (their name, model of car etc. on their mats) then this would obviously raise the overall price. If anyone does decide to have embroidery then they will obviously owe more than the rest of the group as it is their mats that have bumped the price up.

I would be up for getting some in the group buy...

Best thing is shipping direct from them, as there would be massive headaches for sub distribution

Fabia vRS...black with blue trim and vRS logos

I agree, just thought the big discount on shipping using boxes might interest people!

Would be a nightmare trying to get each set to the relevant person though.

If anyone is interested please bold and underline the mats that you would like in your reply so its easier to check back (for future reference).

E.g. Fabia vRS...black with blue trim and vRS logos

Just an example.. not actually the set I want ;)

ALSO, please state what year your car is!

With the Fabia for example, please state if its the pre. 06 or 07 on. model!

Just trying to make this as easy as possible if it does take off :)
