Hello, right im really finding it hard to get any advice of anyone

I have black Fabia VRS,

I hate my tacky standard chrome grill and ive seen plenty on here in black?

Could anybody tell me where i could buy one from maybe or if not then how to do it? id rather buy one or swap one for my standard one as i dont have much time and my DIY is Shocking! Please Help. Any Advice is a treat thanks

I have wrapped mine with some black vinyl last week, it is more durable and stone chip resistant than a painted one plus an added benefit of returning to standard in the matter of minutes.

All you need is some vinyl, I paid £5 for a sheet in specified size from a local graphics company, the grille is held by 6screws I think and further dismantling is just common sense just try not to brake the lugs.

All in all it took me about 30min, the finish is not perfect as it was more of a trial to see if I like it, and if I decide to keep it I will just redo it (my furby is silver so can't decide if it's too much black)

Take it to a bodyshop, would only be about 30-20£ if you remove it yourself, most bodyshops will have some sort of vag black magic paint lying around

yer cheers mate ill have to pop out to town to go to the graffics shop, i would spray myself but i make a balls of everything

Also, im looking into purchasing some HID kit, are they illegal if my fabia didnt come with factory fitted projectors and just the basic ones?

HIDs aren't illegal when used with projectors. They are illegal when used with standard headlamps, I have some standard bulbs fitted to my car, Philips X-Treme Power, they give off a similar color but don't blind every oncoming driver. You can get them fairly cheap on eBay

worth a shot. Try it mate see what its like, but let me know asap about the black grille or if you know someone with one knocking around. I think they make a lot of a diffrence

I have seen a few corsas and stuff with standard headlamps but with HID kits and they are extremly bright so I thought it was legal to to be honest

I have 3 or 4 friends with HIDs only one of them has been pulled over. The officer saod they're bright aren't they. He told the officer that they're HIDs, lucky that he didn't know they're are illegal in standard headlamps

Areeee rite, I may just leave the risk and get osram night breakers or phillips Xtremes. Saves the hastle and half the price I guess.

It's down to you at the end of the day mate. HIDs do look very good and help see in the dark easier. I opted for the good bulb option as I don't want to attract police attention. Most of the time they are arrogant and ignorant and I don't have time for the sort.

I'm 21 only been pulled over once in last 4 years and that was for almost speeding when over taking on a single carriage. Was unmarked police i over took so they decided to pull me and make me aware of my speed. Time wasters..

Haha I've been pulled 3 times, one for not indicating at 4am on a motorway with nobody on it! Haha. Have you got your fabia remapped?

It's madness we should start pulling them over. I haven't. Not yet any way I have airbox mods, green cotton and pd160 ready for job though
