Oct mk1 VRS high mileage

Featured Replies

Hi Briskodians - my Octavia Mk1 (petrol) is on 166,000 miles, now beating the family record of a certain 23 year-old Ford Escort Mark 1 (which wasn't nearly as much fun!) - has anyone any advice for me now we are putting in its next cam belt & water pump? Any more mark 1's out there on this sort of mileage?

It seems happy unless it gets fed Tesco petrol.

Mines on 152k and still going strong.

Mine only ever gets tesco's 99ron and loves it!!

I'm lagging you lot a bit on 142k, but am running stage 2 tune. Engine doesn't burn or leak oil, and still makes 200psi on all 4 cyninders give or take a psi or two.
