Buying two new cars at once, better discount?

Featured Replies

Has anyone here bought two new cars (same make) at once? Is so did you managet to secure a decent/better discount? I'm looking at replacing my 59 plate Octavia Vrs diesel with a 1.8 Yeti and the mrs 1.3 fiesta (shed) with a 1.2 Yeti.

Replacing octy vRS with a Yeti?!?

Are you mad?!

Anyway it's worth a try, you can only ask.

Knackered my back so a higher more upright driving position would help. Having struggled for the past 4 years in sporty seats I thinking of giving in and being sensible!

I am sure by buying two Yeti at the same time, they are likly to offer a higher discount, especially on the petrol models.

Have you thought to speak to James at Allams?

He has certainly done some good deals with people in the Yeti section.

Also Drive the Deal if all else fails...

I find the octy seats really comfy, but everyones different.

I also find the vRS seats nice and comfy, but possible the combination with the sports suspension maybe the real reason?

Back on topic it's definately got to be worth asking, or if not discounts get freebies thrown in.

Asked this when SWMBO got her Seat. Was told that it wouldn't make much difference as they had a fixed margin to play with on each car.

I'd still ask though.

When I was selling cars and someone turned up to buy 2 cars at once, they always expected a bigger discount than normal. What I found was, that the expectations were nearly always too high and we ended up not doing a deal or only selling one car. I would say aim high, but don't expect too much. For every car a dealer sells at a big discount rates, they will want to sell a car that makes genuine profit. So by buying 2 cars with big discounts, you make their job harder in some ways.

I would guess James is probably your best bet. emoticon-0148-yes.gif

As Lady E says, I'd be surprised if you can get much more than a few hundred extra off as margins are apparently small competing with internet deals etc...

Buying used works better. I bought 7 vehicles at the same time (used) for work and plenty of saving to be had.

They have more play with used and often (IMO) earn more than on new!

One for each day of the week :).
