Strut Brace or Cupra Intake

Which one is better value for your money?

the brace

Despite not owning one (yet) After reading many many good reviews i'd say the brace

Thats the one that seems to give the biggest improvement to a standard car. The Cupra intake apparently is handy when remapping, if going for the highest possible power figure.

brace is best value for money because you get a great big piece of metal for your

Brace tbh, the TDI intake will only really help out when tuned. At best it will give an extra 2-3bhp.

The brace will give you more feel when turning in.

Got all three! Why mince around with only one or two, then four and Jabba it? :asthanos:

:iagree:  And then get a freeflowing exhaust and complete the "intake to tailpipe" modding. :D

Thinking of investing in a strut brace for my Fabia vRS and hoped someone could recommend a decent quality one. Back in my old Golf GTi days I had an Eibach strut brace - very good quality and looked so nice so would like somethng similar if possible.

Any recommendations are welcome.

Many thanks

for details of the SEAT one that everyone seems to go for. It's cheap and easy to fit. There's a step-by-step guide here:

Can Ya Tell Me What The Cupra Intake Is That I Have Been Reading About Mine Has Been Superchipped So I Presume It Would Help?

I have both of them and would say that the Strut brace is the better of the two for the money. The cupra intake is all fine and well but whats the point of getting that without the green filter.

I've just finished painting our Strut Brace Green, hmm - looks very nice.

Piccies would be nice......

Will do

Here it is.

The picture doesn't really do it justice.

The paint is a Ford Green, just grabbed it from the shelf in Halfrauds as it looked close.

A quick key with some wet and dry paper and then wash off with soapy water. Allow to dry, 2 coats of grey primer and leave to dry for 24hrs. Then 2 coats of kermit and there she is.

It looks really stunning in the flesh - even if I say so myself :P

Might try and put it on tomorrow - weather dependant.

Will be great to see some more pics when it's on the car - looking good now though. I think this may be another popular mod....

Sure looks good in green :D

I like it.

The red doesn't really match anything on a black car.

Doesn't cost a lot, Halfrauds have got a deal on - 3 for 2 on the paints at the moment.
