As a few may know I am breakin a black vRS mainly coz I needed parts to fix mine up. Gearbox mainly but seen as this one had a few extra goodies and newer stuff than mine I thought I'd have it.. Its taking me ages. I have never done it before and I am loving it but its hard work. I've done most of the inside, and the engine is finally out and I've got the box off. Didn't use a crain in end, I made a board up with big runners on and just lowered the shell down till the engine was on it then lifted the shell up again onto stands.

As I was trying to remove the drive shafts the board split lol, luckily the engine kept it together long enough to support it on 2 jacks and brake disks to stop it falling while I fixed and seriously strengthened the board.

Not gettin the box away was easyish but I want the sache clutch too and I don't have a tool to get it off. Its about a size 9 but its not a normal spanner? What is it and where do I get a tool for it?

I've never seen a bolt like it before.

Cheers

Billy

As far as I remember you just use a normal bi-hex socket/ring-spanner. I think the heads are like 8 or 10mm or something.

I have a set of these bolts at home, so I can confirm later.

Obviously a single-hex socket/ring-spanner won't go over, so go dig out you bi-hex stuff and give it a whirl.

That looks like the same G60 fly and VR6 clutch setup that I have. You going to put the G60 fly on your car too then?

use a ring spanner if you dont have a socket to fit, some are 9mm some 10mm
