Signal booster - Step by step guide?

Featured Replies

Since fitting my Aftermarket HU ( Sony MEX-BT3800U ).... I have had shocking AM Reception...

I have been told i need a Signal Booster. Can i pick one up in Halfrauds and will it come with instructions on what i need to do with it?

Is it as simple as plugging into the back of the stereo and voila? I'm not to savvy with splicing up wires etc

Please help a numptie out!

EDIT: Seems to be some confusion on my part....I think i need part PC5-52 which is not a booster, all it does is provides a 12V feed to the antenna, there is an amplifier built into the antenna and that needs a power supply to power it. The PC5-52 routes the 12V to the antenna and ensures the 12V does not enter the radio as that would most likely stop the radio from working.

Need the same answer.

The blue wire just needs to be attached to the red 12v feed, simple as that.

This just plugs into the back where the aerial goes, but I'm not sure where the blue wire goes

Just ordered one!
