ticking noise

Featured Replies

Has anyone had problem with intermittent ticking from behind dash on octy ii classic 2008 model, this has been going on now for over one year, had it back to dealers many times but they cannot find problem,it will be out of warrenty in June so would like to sort out before then.

This can come on at any time, lasts for a few seconds then may not happen again for days or weeks.

Many thanks for any information.

my octavia has same nioses, been doing it since i bought it 14 months ago,i understand they are relays and are nothing to wory about. common thing. .. .

Mine's done this since new - not very loud so I only hear it when the radio's off or turned low. I think I read somewhere it's something to do with the climate control.

Engine warning system telling you to go faster so you can't hear the ticking. LOLemoticon-0136-giggle.gif

It's the climate control flaps- my Leon does it. If it bothers you, there's a firmware update the dealer can do.

Mine used to make this noise, like mice tap dancing in the dash. It didn't bother me but it's gone after a service where I assume they've updated the firmware.
