AutoExpress says farewell to their Yeti

Featured Replies

Well in this week's AutoExpress magazine they say goodbye to their Car of the Year. A pretty bland review to be honest stating they liked everything and only disliked one thing: the car's name as the writer felt you can't mention the name "in your local pub". Eh?

"Down at my local pub, every man needs to be able to hold their own when talking about their car. My peers all know how big, fast and expensive their motors are. But when I tell them I'm running a Yeti, that's it - conversation over! I doubt Skoda's boffins thought about the male ego during the arduous process of selecting and trademarking the name, but I wish they had."

Poor thing... Could not even research the name past the "abdominable snowman" part and still holds his Skoda prejeduces. I hope he misses his car now that everyone will be wanting to chat to him about it post-Clarkson.

Thanks Johann

I can't read it though - too compressed.

Oops. I did not mean for people to be able to read it - but guess people would want to. So here are better pics of the text!
