Sound pretty good but you don't need the small leather package - you get all the leather bits anyway in the Elegance package (which I assume it is since you're going for Gobi leather:nice one!).

Nice specification...

I would go for exactly the same spec as yours minus the silver rail, the different wheels and tyre pressure alarm - but would add navigation and decent speakers.

I am also waiting for the sunroof...

...are you sure the sunroof will be available for order soon?

Are you ordering now on the assumption the sunroof will be available later to add to the order?

Thanks Andrew I just cut and pasted spec from "build your own Yeti" and the small leather package was with the steering wheel. I quite like the look of the 3 spoke but not seen a decent photo and wonder if its worth the extra £100+ ?

SWMBO has just asked if I would like Yeti casserole for dinner!

I would also say don't do the silver roof rails. The half silver half black Yeti affairs look a bit weird to me. Look at the Superb's rails (or most any station wagon out there with silver rails) the whole rail is silver which works. But to just make the middle bits silver just looks as if something has fallen off or has been forgotten! But each to their own.

But for the rest a good spec. I'd just add either front parking sensors or Park Assist (to get the front sensors). Having them both front and back is a major plus for me I have to say.

Yes, I meant to say what about park assist, too: I know it may be a bit of a luxury and maybe not often used but in a way that's its justification: I find that these days I so seldom need to parallel park that when I do, I require all available assistance!

Here is a picture of the 3-spoke steering wheel (albeit in LHD):

I specced the 3 spoke wheel as it was what I was used to,but if you get on with the 4 spoke there's no real advantage. I wouldn't spec the park assist if you don't parallel park much. The yeti is short and very easy to park, you'll already have the excellent rear parking sensors with the elegance spec.... I agree with the others . Lose the silver roof rails....

See my CR170 Elegance Muscovado with the silver roof rails......

Sounds not too dissimilar to Elsieemoticon-0148-yes.gif

I personally couldn't see the point of the 3 spoke wheel, it doesn't have paddles.

Like wise with Johann, don't like the part silver rails.

Colour: all Yeti colours look good, but white looks bestemoticon-0140-rofl.gif

reason: when it gets dirty you can see where the dirt is and avoid it. If you can't see the dirt......you get dirtyemoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Anapumas: not sure about these yet. I would prefer 16" wheels to the rubber bands fitted to the 17" wheels.

The 140 DSG 4x4 is fantastic, especially when it has a shark performance remap. improved all round.emoticon-0148-yes.gif

I love the Gobi interior. Nice & bright.

I'm not that fussed about the sunroof, personally I think it is overrated. You can't see much above your head anyway, you have to be looking back or best of all be sitting in the back.....(Now sits in the back waiting to be flamedemoticon-0140-rofl.gif)

I have the spare wheel, but removed the variable floor and stand the wheel up tied to the offside cross rail, as I wanted the boot space and to carry my bike inside the car.

Get the mats from your dealer, not the factory. They are better.

I have the rest of your spec and more.

Mike

Bit of a anti silver roof rails developing on this thread - personally I think they are fairly dependant on body colour and suit the silver and aqua blue quite well - IMO.

Hehehe. The sunroof lets light in too. But by far its biggest advantage is on a hot summers day when you park your car. Leave the roof slightly open on tilt and you get back to a cool car. THAT is why I have a sunroof.

Very nice spec and just about everything would get my vote

The exceptions would be the 3 spoke wheel, having driven Skoda's with both I personally prefer the 4 spoke and the floor mats from the factory are not as nice as the dealer ones. Still have the set I ordered with 'Pat'; quite thin and plain compared to the dealer option which has the Yeti logo.

TP

Hi MAFFA,

Interested to see your thread as I am also having difficulty finalising options on a Yeti Elegance. I am also considering whether to go for the optional

3 spoke wheel or not - however I have been unable to find out what the difference or advantage is to justify the extra £155 cost..

I will be interested to know what you finally decide on . It's hard work deciding isn't it ?.

Cheers and good luck John.

I'm quite happy with the 4 spoke steering wheel, would recommend the front parking sensors, love the speaker upgrade. My black roof rails look pretty good and the TP monitoring is one of those things you hope you never need to use but it wasn't exactly expensive. Haven't used the heated front screen yet but think I might feel quite smug when I do. Whatever you decide on I'm sure you will love it!

Didn't apreciate until I just looked up the sunroof in the parts book but the MY11 Yeti's have a Seat Alhambra sunroof. Previously it had been a Golf V/VI component.

The Seat roof is fitted to the following models;

Alhambra

VW Sharan

Yeti

Superb

TP

and the TP monitoring is one of those things you hope you never need to use

Except when like me your Skoda is delivered with a slow puncture !!!

You mention in your post that you have "Removed the Variable Boot Floor" and stand your wheel up against the cross rail. I have ordered the spare wheel option but not the Variable floor because the brochure says that it is not compatible with the spare wheel option. Is this correct that it is in fact compatible, if it is maybe I can get one from the dealer when my Yeti arrives. Also how does the upright wheel effect the boot space.

Nah! Don't like yer spec at all, at all.

Go fer a White E, with no options, and then with all the money you save, put it to fuel at £1.60 litre!

I jest. Go on go on go on go on, just do it! Whatever you order you will love to bits and have a smile on your face

Hi stanjackos

The spare wheel comes with a 'variable boot floor' or I suppose a raised floor. I have removed it and fitted the bits required for the SM without spare wheel option. A polystyrene filler and a boot floor.

I still wanted the spare, so I have attached it to the horizontal boot rail supplied in the elegance models, and also to one of the tie down points.

Yes it will affect boot capacity, but I have much more boot space available than I had before, and I like the deep lip as shopping doesn't fall over so much when you do a supermarket shop, but I do miss the underfloor storage, saying that, in the SM I hardly used it as I couldn't fit much of what I had under the floor in my Octavia under the floor in the Octavia.

I also store the parcel shelf behind the seats which also protects the Gobi leather armrest/seat back.

My dealer (Chapmans in Pickering) told me sunroofs can now be ordered.

Trev

Mike - that's ingenious - I am going to have to have a serious think about that!

Trev, don't believe everything you're told by your stealer... the option is coming soon, maybe some time later this month or in the next few months.

Thanks for that Rockhopper,

Is your spare full size, I think the one now supplied is a "Temporary Space Saver 16" wheel"
