Remapping Superb 140 BHP CR Diesel

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone

I am moving (umm... up, down or sideways!) from a 240 BHP car to a Superb 140 TDI 4WD DSG. I want to get more power and one tuner said he would get over 170 from it and could do the gear box too to make it slicker.

Does anyone have any experience of doing this? Who did you use?

There's a few post's on the Yeti page about this... Maybe worth a search over there.

Shark (i think) did the remap, and owner has had it on rolling road since, and achieved iro 165 bhp.

There's a major difference between the 170 and 140 engine, not just mapping...

Thanks I'll check it out. Yeah, I wanted the 170, but not available with 4WD :(

Ummm. Yes it is. Or at least in Belgium.

The options here are:

140hp 4x4 DSG

170hp 4x4 manual

try shark performance

Yup is the DSG I am getting - I do 35k miles a year!

What are the main differences between the 2 engines? Doesn't seem to be much published on this.

I am in the same boat, I wanted 4x4 and therefore have gone with the 140 diesel and also looking at remapping.

Shark do a £499 Stage 1 remap of the 170 CR which increases the output to a claimed 205bhp - could be fun

Bigger Turbo on the 170, and a few other small tweaks - AFAIK...
