My other half has just bought an Octavia VRs (06 plate pre-FL) and I am probably just being really stupid, but I can't work out whether the wing mirrors should fold in with a bit of force, or whether they can't be moved. I don't think that there are electric folding wing mirrors, but to be honest I'm not sure what I'm looking for....I know you can adjust them with the dial inside the car but that's not helping me much at the moment!

Anyway, please please excuse my total ignorance, but if anyone could let me know whether they can just be folded in I would be so grateful as it will mean we can park both cars on the driveway again!

Yes they should fold (they certainly do on my 06 Elegance), just push the front edge of the mirror towards the rear of the car - there is a some resistance to overcome, necessary to prevent the mirrors folding while you are driving along!
