Here's one for you...

I use Chemspec Formula 90, you need like 30ml so not worth buying some. I can send you some if you like? I would imagine with a rug doctor you could probably do 3 cars on one tank of water, but that assuming they have a decent size tank (30-40 ltrs).

I'm looking to replace my cleaning machine with this small one. Nice and powerful for a small machine, the psi of the spray is more importand than the sucking power.

£200 is good value.

Thanks for the offer, but I intend on hiring it tomorrow so it likely wouldn't arrive in time :)

Only need 30ml? I'm looking at just the RD own brand detergents as I can pick them up at the same time, but I don't know which I should be using... I would think it should be their "Upholstery Cleaner" and the Anti-foam to go with it, but no one actually seems to say what they use. Maybe the "Carpet Detergent" would be good enough?!

I think we had the upholstery cleaner and bought a bigger bottle incase we rent it out again

Any carpet or upholstery detergent will do, mine just happens to be highly concentrated. It's important to use less rather than more cos too much will leave the fabric sticky (not that you would notice) and it attracts dirt easier. I would suggest after cleaning to go over then again with just water in the tank. Some chemicals also contain anti browning additives which stop the water marks, but if youre cleaning the whole seat then it probably wont be much of an issue for you.

I have just used a Rug Doctor - wasn't going to spend £9.99 that morrisons wanted for the cleaner, so walked round Morrisons after hiring and picked up some Stardrops. Brilliant. And a decent neutral smell!

Note - Unless you have the front seats out, it WILL be an ache to do. It was for me!

Will have to re-hire a rug doctor and have all the seats out for a full-on cleaning. But they came up pretty good considering I was faffing for a couple of hours

Good call with the stardrops ;)
