whatever.

just trying to help a chap out with some advice which is what he asked us all to do - don't really understand why you singled my post out for your razor sharp wit.

I thought that too to be honest. Forums everywhere are getting terrible for this at the moment. Hotukdeals being one of the worst.

Best of it was he went on to say Conti 3's were good anyway!! :wonder:

Got my fitted for £144 before Xmas so I would have thought about £150 is a fair price no the VAT rate is higher.

Forums are subjective yes and everybody knows that as you were so keen to point out and subjectively many people found your post a little beyond the pale so take it on board and everybody goes away happy.

its nice that you feel the need to stick up for your little buddy from oxfordshire, I'll cut to the chase, I dont like rob_e based on some in my opinion uncalled for comments on a thread I posted a week or two back, the first dialogue I'd ever had from the guy, I've been driving for 22 years. the 'HTH' comments surfaced again on this thread, and it struck me it had the same arrogant tone.

I don't think I've ever had a car that would have been completely silent when changing down to first at 15mph?

Try this as a test: change down to first at 60mph and if that's any quieter.

Please post pics.

HTH.

Just be careful with michelin ps3s! Through experience I have had to replace 1 in less than a month due to "tyre bulge" although no pot holes hit it appeared after 1000 miles and I drove the car like a hearse! Away for inspection in France but until then I would never consider buying michelin again - read the posts on the internet about recalls. Scary and not good. In retrospect I would go for contis now and accept they are never going to last as long. Then again Michelin could prove me wrong and send through a report that states their tyre is defective, but whats the chances of that I wonder???

Mine were £140 pre vat hike, £144 post vat hike for the replacement which I noted was made in france, not hungary like the other lot.

I replaced original Pilot Primacy tyres on front with F1 Asymetric. Probably slightly better grip, but have worn out far quicker. So will probably go for PS3

Ive now got Falkens all around and for 65.00 a corner, they really arent a bad tyre at all. Fronts have been on longer than the rears and they seem to be wearing slowly so thats a good thing, unlike the dunlops! If you want falke, camskill are the cheapest place and do quick delivery.

Falken tyres are very good, i had them on my Focus RS and it dramatically reduced wheel spin.
