Quick & Easy Brakes Question

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Got the new wheels balanced at the garage this morning, and it turns out my rear discs are knackered. I remember buying a box set of mintex discs and pads to replace old ones, but can't remember for the life of me the size etc.

So, what size discs do I need for the rear of an 05 vRS please?

And, while I'm at it, I might as well get a new set on the front, I have the 312mm upgrade, but there appear to be a few variants. Can anyone specify what variant it is I'll need please?

I intend to stick with mintex, as they've performed and lasted well. However, if anyone can recommend any similarly priced alternatives above mintex I'm all ears.

I understand this might have been covered, just wanted to clarify prior to ordering.

Many thanks all.

Thanks Matt ,,, think i'll stick with oem replacements ,,,, without trawling through a search ,, who are the cheapest online guys at the mo for standard discs/pads ?

kerms34, have a look at the seller on the above links for standard discs and pads, very reasonable indeed and ultra quick delivery.

The link for the rear discs and pads are standard size, but you'll need to look further for the 288mm standard front discs.
