Skodas At The Rock?

Featured Replies

Looks like a 1.6 Ambiente... :D

Rob.

Its a Scalextric track, as you cab see the chicken wire to stop them flying off.

Cheers

Hey, for a moment I thought that was a pic of an Octavia overtaking a Vette from the inside ...... ;)

... then I realised it's just a Vette overtaking an Octavia from the outside :D

...........I used to live on the Rock back in the days when HMS Vanguard - the steel version, not the wooden one - was in mothballs there, along with most of the Royal Navy. The barbary apes had no trouble scaling the chicken wire in those days. :D

Hmm, its a Nottingham car. Not sure whose it is though.

Wrong rock Denis. Interesting flight approach to the one you are talking about though

It is. The windscreen of the Varsity I was flying when I first landed there cracked due to the turbulence. And I will never forget a particular take-off from there in a Shackleton Mk 3. The wind was very strong from the south - ie blowing around both sides of the Rock towards the runway. We started the take-off run towards the bay, were blown sideways towards the righthand side of the runway despite using full left steering and rudder and, as we reached the halfway point, then started veering towards the lefthand side despite using full rudder. We eventually lurched into the air going distinctly sideways. From then on I had a healthy respect for the DC3 pilots who used to operate into and out of Gibraltar regularly.

Yeah, I always had great respect for the pilots who flew us in there. Must look even better form the cockpit

Was in Gib a few weeks back... cool airport... nice place.. but a little off topic!!

Wouldnt mind a blast round rockingham though??

(i reckon the traffics a little better than the rock.

Especially on the way out into Spain. Now that is a nightmare!
